Cherry Creek High School in Colorado has produced its fair share of high-level talent, and Alijah Landrum-Hamilton is proving to be next in line, by joining accomplished alumni, such as, Kyle Shanahan, Ohio State commit George Fitzpatrick, Oregon commit Blake Purchase, plus former NFL players Tom Ashworth and Tyler Polumbus.
Landrum-Hamilton continues to raise his profile with his elite skill set, and his recruiting stock is on the rise. Most recently, he picked up an offer from Colorado State, a program making a push to keep top in-state talent close to home.
Colorado State Making an Impact
The latest offer for the 2027 athlete was more than just another step in his recruiting journey—it was a meaningful milestone. Being born and raised in Colorado, receiving an offer from Colorado State felt surreal, according to Landrum-Hamilton, “It’s a special feeling to receive recognition from a hometown program, especially one that I’ve respected for so long”.
Coach Matt Mumme, Colorado State offensive coordinator, has made a strong early impression. “He has been genuine and shown real interest in who I am as a person, not just as a football player,” Landrum-Hamilton recalls, “this means a lot to me because building strong relationships with coaches who value character is important.”
With Cherry Creek earning a trip to the state finals held in Fort Collins, Landrum-Hamilton took note of the vibrant atmosphere and culture that head coach Jay Norvell is building.
“I love the culture that Coach Jay Norvell has created,” Landrum-Hamilton stated in an interview with 5-Star Football Recruiting, “The direction they’re heading suggests a strong focus on competition and winning. Both of which I resonate with”
Film Breakdown: What Sets Him Apart?
Landrum-Hamilton’s film showcases a well-rounded receiver with a skill set that translates well to the next level. His route-running precision and football IQ make him a consistent playmaker, while his strong hands and body control allow him to win in contested situations.
His explosiveness off the line and ability to create early separation from defenders win him many man-to-man matchups. Once Landrum-Hamilton creates separation he showcases his strong hands and impressive catch radius showing really good body control to adjust on balls in the air. Recruiting Exposure & Development
Landrum-Hamilton credits 5⭐️Football Recruits and Coach Isaac Hadac with helping him navigate the recruiting process and gain national exposure, stating they’ve been invaluable with the guidance and support. The biggest advantage, according to him, has been the increased exposure and the tailored approach to highlighting the unique skills and strengths he possesses, helping him pick up his recent offer to CSU.
